Report of the Arthritis Foundation Committee

The Grand Lodge of Massachusetts in support of the Arthritis Foundation rose over $322,535.78 this year from funds raised from the Twelfth Annual Arthritis Charity Ball, Two Joint Walks, Golf Tournaments, and other contributions.

I feel that the Arthritis Charity Ball, which grossed over $31,382.56, was a great success and should be continued. It is a great way to market our Order to the community and for all brothers and sisters to work together to raise money for a great cause.

My brothers and sisters, these kinds of activities really help to promote members within our Order.

Without the support of everyone involved, the Arthritis Ball and all other activities could not have been possible and successful. A special thanks goes to Bethesda Lodge, Worcester Lodge and all whom supported this process, for all their untiring support and encouragement.

My Co-Chair Anne Whelan, PNG, were committed and there when needed, the Rebekahs must be as proud as I am for all her continuous support for this great cause.

By holding successful functions, we have much enjoyment and we are getting some much-needed publicity in the newspapers, radio and television.

I want to thank each Odd Fellow and Rebekah for his and her support and ask you to continue the effort next year for an even greater success.

I would lie to say that your effort was invaluable and that next year.s Committee Chair-man will be grateful for your support

The committee is recommending that ads and tickets be purchased before March 19, 2007: this will give the committee more time to affect the program an also all pictures submitted for the program be BLACK & WHITE and not COLOR photos.

We, the committee, are proud to have had the opportunity to serve our Grand Lodge and the Rebekah Assembly.
